Description

I've seen this little annual previously but can't recall the name. The plants are 4 to 8" tall, growing in a slightly damp situation. They may grow in colonies by rhizomes. They have sessile, 4-merous flowers in the leaf axils, and opposite, oblong or oblanceolate leaves with short teeth. Probably a facultative wetland plant, I'd say.
