Breaking with usual habits, a couple of Gray Foxes showed up in my yard while there was still lots of daylight. Usually they show up about the time it gets dark. When I spotted the two foxes in the yard this afternoon, I went outside with a telephoto lens and tried to work my way around so the sun was in my favor. One of the foxes was having no part of me or my camera so it ran off into the woods pretty quickly, but the other tolerated me pretty well and I was able to get some decent images. This fox, with the damaged right ear, has been around for a number of months. It has learned I have no intent to harm it, so it is somewhat tolerant of me.
