Growing on a hardwood log on the side of a road near a creek. Rounded hysterothecia associated with a black crust and a red stain of the wood. All structures inamyloid. Releasing green pigment in 1M KOH. Asci bitunicate. Spores 2-celled and hyaline. Spore measurements: (5.8) 6.1 – 8 (9.7) × (2.1) 2.4 – 3.1 (3.2) µm, Q = (2.1) 2.2 – 3.1 (3.4); N = 30, Me = 7 × 2.7 µm; Qe = 2.6
