I could see a large bird in my backyard pecking at something, and feathers were flying into the air. It reminded me of what happens in a pillow fight. I realized that the large bird was eating its prey. As I walked out the door, the hawk flew away. This looks like Northern Mockingbird to me, which I have seen around my home. I also have seen Eastern Phoebes.
