Vergelegen tussock currently being reared

Collected tussock moth caterpillar on Aspalathus ciliaris at Vergelegen estate.

8 May 2019:

When I ran out of foodplant the caterpillar also readily ate Osteospermum moniliferum, preferring the flowers.

12 May 2019:

It spun a cocoon in the corner between the container and its lid.
