Wasp on Regelia
Identified as Bembix on Bowerbird by Ken Walker: "These are beautifully coloured wasps - usually with lots of yellow. They are predators that dig a hole in the ground and bring back paralysed prey on which they lay an egg. They prefer to dig in sandy soil. Most insects will visit flowers to get a sugar drink of carbohydrates to power their wings in flight. Lovely images of the wasp and flowers."
