When this lizard appeared at the little waterhole behind the visitor's center, I assumed it was a captive Gila Monster. I realized I was wrong when I asked the docent at the desk about it, and she and every other docent and ranger in the place rushed to have a look. It was a wild lizard, coming in to have a drink. One of the docents gave me a free "Lizards of Sabino Canyon" poster for having pointed it out to them.
