We've had this on our favorite fuchsia for a few years... Of interest, we have other varieties not affected. It always seems to disappear with the cold weather; and for a while in the spring the plant comes back well... Sadly, by May the growing tips of all the branches start to develop these deformities.
I'm tempted to break down and apply imidacloprid. True, some think it bad for the bees; but Wikipedia says it's already 'the most widely used insecticide in the world'-- so surely my little contribution would just be spitting in the ocean. Any better ideas?
