This diatom is symmetric biraphid. The poles of the diatom are broadly rounded. The marginal morphology is linear elliptical. The striae are parallel, at the center there is a gap in the striae. One side of the diatom has a slightly bigger gap than the other. This diatom habitat is benthic and was found on a plant at Silver Lake Fen.
