In tall grass in a sand prairie near an oak woodland -- the first photo is processed to remove green, making it easier to see the lizard. The second image is the same, but without the color filtering. My wife Corinne found a road kill victim a few years ago, but this is the first time I've photographed one alive and well, and TBH it was kind of exciting. Ssp. attenuatus? I'd estimate it was about 26" to 32" in length.
