Description

Tropidoderus gracilifemur male
Identified as Tropidoderus gracilifemur on Bowerbird by Matthew Connors: "This species is semi-common in the area, and although I have never encountered a female, I have seen a few males around, mostly around lights at night as this one was. T. gracilifemur is usually found much further inland and has not been recorded in Townsville before (as far as I know). T. gracilifemur males can be distinguished from other males of the genus by the combination of a red base to the hindwing and an unmarked hindwing with no tessellated pattern."
