Description

I saw what looked at first like a small bug streaking through some leafy detritus. When it paused in the shadow of a plant, I realized that it was a 1.5 inch-long baby lizard, of the typical Great Basin Fence Lizard variety that inhabit this area. At least, according to my herpetology grad student friends. The photo doesn't clearly show how tiny this guy was.
