Flowers yellow, ¼”, shiny petals,5 sepals, petals shorter and narrower than sepals. Numerous pistils and stamens.
Erect, glabrous leafy stem. Basal leaves ½” – 1 ½” wide, stalked with scalloped margins. Cauline leaves sessile, divided into 3 – 5 lobes.
6” – 24’ high. Woods, disturbed places. Spring, early summer.
