Name:-Pleated Leaf Nervillia
Botanical name:- Nervillia plicata
Habit:- small herb About 20 cm.
Habitat:- Undergrowth hill forests in dead leaves on slopes. (wealthy forests of western Ghat's)

Place:- Murbad hills.(Northen western Ghat's)

It was very long search of 6 hours in evergreen hill forest in dead leaves with the company of horrible leeches,Roberflys and Mosquito's and some snakes like Bamboo pit viper. we Finished our trek with this rare beautiful terrestrial orchid Nervillia plicata which was hidden in forest undergrowth.

Nervillia is very beautiful genus of terrestrial orchids which found mostly in same habitat mentioned above. they prefer first rain shower to their flowering and it is very rare sight to watch flowering stage because of very short period of flowering of them.
