Description
Goniocidaris tubaria - Stumpy Pencil Urchin.
Many thousands along tide line after a major storm in July 2012. The location was along the 90 Mile Beach which is all sand. I have always associated this type of urchin with a rocky substrate, not the sand along this beach. The arms are all very warn on all examples examined.
