I found this large-ish beetle (at least 1 inch long) walking slowly but determinedly on a dirt road. It continued walking all over my hands when I scooped it up and only acted alarmed when I grabbed it to hold it still for photos of the face and underside. I half-expected it to squirt something nasty at me, but it never did, and continued its walking as soon as I set it back on the ground.
