Full sunlight, wet pine savanna - Culm about 70cm, triangular in cross section. Leaves mostly basal, 9cm long x 7mm wide, ciliated. Spikelet 4mm with long point, bracts ciliated. Achene smooth, biconvex, tumid, 2.3mm x 1.7mm + 0.7mm tubercle. Bristles mostly less than half achene body length.
