Growing on top of partly shaded sandstone outcrop on SW-facing slope in oak woodland. ID uncertain, but based on green/black overlapping squamulose thallus and historical collections of this species from the area. However, not certain if possible to distinguish here between P. squamulosum and Clavascidium laciniatum.
