Earle's Woolly Locoweed (Astragalus mollissimus var. earlei)

Description

Although all of these large, purple-flowered locoweeds in the Chisos Mts are being identified as A. mollissimus, they seem to have glabrous pods. Note the images here. Unfortunately, almost none of the current images of this species in the Chisos on iNat show any fruits at all and the couple that do are not close ups. See, for instance, https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/15725000
Nonetheless, I assume these are all correctly IDed as mollissimus and it is simply a local form in the Chisos with glabrous fruits.
