Description

I found this growing under a Pseudotsuga menziesii, plantation at the McDonald Dunn Forest, in Oregon. The leaves were leathery, shiny and smooth, with opposite branching on a woody stem. It grew in single upright branches from the ground. Total height was about 12-18 inches tall. I know this plant as Mahonia nervosa.
