This beetle was collected from a wild cucurbit on the side of the road in Quetarra, Mexico. The cucurbit was not buffalo gourd or a Cucurbita species, and I don't think it was Momordica either. It had small yellow flowers, and the botanist with me named it something nr. Apodantheraceae, if anyone knows a wild Mexican cucurbit with a similar name.
