Found in a mixed forest of Oak and Douglas fir. Found growing in soil in a scattered cluster. The cap is on a thin white stipe. The cap or head, is a sort of horse shoe shaped with the margins enrolled. The cap surface (spore bearing surface) is darker than the under hairy side. The cap is a dark grayish brown, and the underside is a lighter grey color. The stipe is solid, with a spongy texture.

I tried to see some microscopic identifiers, but it seems that this specimen is too young and has no developed asci with spores. I will try again soon.
