Description

I found this nice cluster of mushrooms growing in the dirt near the side of a road. I dug up the cluster to find it fruiting off the sclerotium mass below. There were about 8 mature mushrooms with another 10+ tiny buttons.
I measured one of the larger caps:
width: 25mm
Hight of mushroom: 25mm
stipe height 15mm
sclerotium: 40mmx70mmx40mm
Stipe width: 12mm
Gills are adnate, buff colored, with the edge of the gill slightly darker.
Spore print is white. The spores are tiny! They are subsusiform and smooth with tiny oil droplets in them.
