Two birds in foreground in first photograph: Limnodromus sp. (dowitcher), perhaps Limnodromus griseus (Short-billed Dowitcher). Would appreciate help with narrowing down species if photographs adequate. (The 2 smaller waders further away in first photo appear to be a Calidris sp., subject of separate observation.) Feeding with other waders on muddy shore and mudflats exposed by lowtide. Shores of Gerritsen Creek at Salt Marsh Nature Center, Marine Park, Brooklyn, NY. Second photo also shows same 2 dowitchers, plus a Calidris at extreme left. Fourth photo also shows same 2 dowitchers, plus the Calidris sp. (extreme right) wading in water. Fifth photograph shows small flock of 5 dowitchers feeding at edge of water, with a Greater Yellowlegs at extreme right (included in separate observation).
