Description

It was a good rattler, and big enough for a squirrel or small rabbit, set up on a little game trail were it had shade and a confined narrowing of the trail. It was good because it gave me a proper warning to stop me in time. Just enough buzz to freeze my blood. If it hadn’t warned me I would have been in there in that trap within inches of it and nowhere to go but ahead or back. But I had to move it because I had to go that way, so though it wasn’t at all mad I had to make it mad so it would move. Really made me respect it the way it not only buzzed but began a long deep hissing as it moved away. Needless to say I stayed on the main trail the rest of the time out there.
