Description

Adults and their egg masses. Shell in 2nd image 12 mm long. Ist and 5th images scanned from prints from 35 mm film. We met Dr. Peter Dyrynda (at left in 5th image) in Weymouth, UK for a field trip to The Fleet lagoon while on a trip to England in March 2002 and found these diminutive aplysiids by dragging his little net on the surface of the soft sediments at low tide. The 2nd to 4th images are of preserved specimens I had collected on that trip and just discovered yesterday I still have. Note the relatively large eggs visible in the egg masses in the 3rd image.
