The kingfisher is dropping large amount of crab legs (but no obvious crab carapace's) at the base of its hunting perch. Some legs seem to be bound up in pellets so I assume thats how they all got here. Are the carapace's of mud crabs thinner / easier to digest? Or is there another behaviour here I am missing.
