Description

With its spiral galaxy appearance this is a species you can easily identify in the field. The leaves take on a characteristic kink when cover-slipped (images 3 and 4). Mid leaf cells in image 5 are showing the many small papillae in image 6. The final image show cells near the leaf base where the papillae form in rows.
