2, pair. Male initially spotted perched atop dead birch. Responded quickly to call broadcasts, flying toward observers and giving both tremolo advertising call and 'yeee-iiip' agitation call. Continued to give tremolo call throughout observation period, changing perches periodically. Second individual, presumably female, observed briefly perched in stub a couple of hundred metres to SW of male before dropping from view.
