Discovered inside my house; my best guess is that it hitched a ride inside on one of the houseplants I had taken outside to water thoroughly?!?

As I had been reading about Larinus turbinatus and L. carlinae, my first thought was to cut thistle on which to photograph it...yea, I know, it doesn't really make sense.

To my surprise, it consumed a small bit of thistle leaf and has spent the entire day on the small 'sprig.'

By the following a.m. the weevil had eaten most of the thistle leaf.
