Growing singly on an old decorticated log. Likely oak.
Third time seeing this species. First time in this locale. Mixed hardwood forest that is swampy in places.
Recent rains made this specimen very soggy. Tubes very shallow compared to prior specimen. This one maybe had more to grow. Pores bruised reddish-brown.
