This American elm tree was found in the middle of a field that is near the field station at Bath Nature Preserve. I estimate its height to be about 50 feet tall. Its leaves easily distinguish it as an elm tree. The base of the leaves are not symmetrical (and are actually quite asymmetrical). The side veins terminate into teeth, and these teeth also have smaller teeth.
