Alpine scree slope. Soils dry, and sandy-gravelly. No flowers present. Stems pubescent, especially in upper part. Elevation = 5,600 ft. Several dall sheep beds in the area. With Epilobium latifolium, Saxifraga bronchialis, Trisetum spicatum, and Papaver alboroseum.
