Description

Growing in a mowed lawn under Quercus sect. Lobatae near Acer nigrum.

Pores orange with a yellow margin and fading to orange-brown with age. Top of stem reticulate. Pleasant smell, somewhat like button mushrooms in wine sauce. Taste not distinctive. Context pale yellow and bruising blue slowly. NH4OH flashing pale lavender before fading to orange-red on the cap.
