I know it was a coyote because it was trotting right at me like a wobbly oblivious drunk. It scared me. I started walking backwards rather quickly. The animal was not slowing down or changing its course. Finally I turned around to walk forward rather quickly and a tiny rabbit dashed passed me. I have a position on humans putting themselves in the food chain with non-human animals. I won’t be going out in the early morning hours any time in the near future. The animals can have nights to themselves.
