Luffa acutangula var. amara (Roxb.) C.B.Clarke
This is a wild variety of Luffa acutangula with much smaller leaves and smaller fruit(about 6 inches and 1-1.5 inches thick, obovoid, obtusely conical at both ends. But it is not (atleast the mature fruit) bitter as mentioned by Theodore Cooke in Flora of Bombay Presidency Vol 1.
