Found as seen, on surface of mud at low (but not minus) tide,
Windy Cove,
Morro Bay, California

Just under 4" (10cm) long. Both sexes have one claw larger than the other, but in males it can be extremely larger. I would lean toward this being a male, but wouldn't put high stakes on it.
