My first observation from a mammalian order that has long been a favorite. Unfortunately, I don't know enough to differentiate a few similar species in this genus. A few of these bats were emerging from a bat house on a rural office building mid afternoon. The bat photographed seemed a bit stunned after emerging and was on the ground for a few seconds before flying off.
