This project is work-in-progress. There is no single source that lists all Texas endemic species, so I am trying to find various sources that list species, subspecies, and varieties that can only be found in Texas. The only exception to the rule I have added so far is Golden-cheeked Warbler which breeds exclusively in Texas, however, it migrates to Mexico during the non-breeding season. The endemic invertebrate species have been the hardest to track down. So far, I have found a few sources that have been very helpful, particularly for plants. If you know of any endemic species/subspecies/varieties that are endemic to Texas, private message me (@coreyjlange) with your source and the species names, and I will add them to the project list. There might be species on the project list that are not true Texas endemics, so if you notice a species that should be removed from the project list, let me know.
