Observation field tweaks

I've finally put the time aside to try this project out with observation fields just as it was getting too chilly to use my phone for long periods. It turns out 1m and 1cm scales (distance from shoreline and stem diameter respectively) are too fine to be of any use, who would've thought? Hopefully by updating that to 5m and 2cm scales they will prove more useful to inform tree-wrapping events. I'm still not sure if including distance from shore is useful data to track, but I am interested to see if the urban beaver population is bolder than their wild counterparts and will venture out further in search of trees. Only time will tell.

About

Developing this project to monitor where the beavers are most actively cutting down trees (and what species of trees) for tree-wrapping events with Meewasin. I also want to see what trees the beavers are primarily browsing in Saskatoon, the size of those trees, and just how far they are leaving the shorelines in search for suitable trees
