HTA biology students are studying ecology! We are interested in the interactions between organisms, the effects of invasive species on a habitat, and the secondary succession of an ecosystem after a disturbance. iNaturalist is a perfect tool to help us document the biodiversity in the specific salt water estuary of Niumalu. Our goal is to return to this ecosystem annually. Each year, we will bioblitz the area and compare the biodiversity to previous years in an effort to track the species diversity in response to the changing environment due to the restoration project occurring there. less ↑
