Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens was established in 1913. It is on the eastern slopes of Table Mountain. It ranges from 100m to 800m above mean sea level.

It is one of the top 7 botanical gardens in the world and a most frequently visited tourist destination in Cape Town, South Africa. There are 36 hectare developed as a garden on a 528 hectare estate.
