What plants do California birds love to eat? This project seeks to identify the plants that commonly serve as food sources for California birds. This might include berries, seeds, sap, nectar, or leaves. The plants might be wild or cultivated (garden, landscaping, etc.). Please add any photos which show a California bird eating some part of a plant (berries, seeds, sap, nectar, leaves, etc.). Also welcome are photos of birds carrying plant material that you observed being collected from a live plant (as opposed to from a feeder), and photos of birds on a plant that you have seen it eating from. The plants may be wild/naturalized or may be cultivated (garden, farm, etc.). REGARDING OBSERVATION FIELDS: Please give your best guess in identifying the plant.
