Assessing the prevalence and distribution of adventive insects associated with Eucalyptus and related plants in California.

Over a dozen different Australian insects have been discovered in association with Eucalyptus in California over the past several decades. While biological control has been effective on some species, many others are now considered to be established in the state. These include longhorn beetles, tortoise beetles, jumping plant lice, and gall wasps; additionally, citizen science has resulted in the discovery of two more species in the past year alone, a seed-boring beetle and a Thaumastocorid bug. less ↑
