The First Christmas Counts included mammals

In the beginning Christmas Bird Counts were done to protest the killing spree of the Side Hunt. The species recorded were not limited to birds. How many of us have seen a squirrel, butterfly, lizard, wildflower, or some other life form that we thought it would be fun to count? Well, here is the chance for all photographers to help create the true picture of life during the Winter Solstice season. Add everything seen between December 15 through January 5th on any sanctioned CBC you have participated in. Please make sure you add the name of your CBC so we can figure out where the most diverse experience can be found and also where the most diehard naturalists wander and count the ravens! :)
