Get ready for the City Nature Challenge! April 14-18th

Hello naturalists of Nashville!

This spring Nashville is one of 16 cities participating in the nationwide City Nature Challenge. We need YOU to be a citizen scientist and document the wildlife you see in your backyard, schoolyard, or local park. During the Nashville City Nature Challenge from April 14th to 18th, snap a photo and upload your wildlife observations to iNaturalist. You will be helping us understand what plants and animals call Nashville home AND showing the rest of the country the amazing wildlife we have in Tennessee!

The Nashville Metro Parks are also hosting 3 BioBlitz events on April 15th for you to meet-up with fellow naturalists and Park staff. You can register for each BioBlitz below.

Shelby Bottoms Nature Center (9:00am-12:00pm) http://bit.ly/2mNJAyZ
Warner Park Nature Center (8:00am-12:00pm) http://bit.ly/2mNYzJc
Bells Bend Outdoor Center (8:00am-12:00pm) Register by phone: 615-862-4187
Beaman Park (8:00am-12:00pm) Register by phone: 615-862-8580

Can't make it? Not in Nashville anymore? Don't worry! You can help by keeping an eye on our project page and identifying as many plants and animals that you can. https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/city-nature-challenge-2017-nashville

We can’t wait to discover Nashville’s wild(life) side with you!

Thanks!
