Tidying up

I'm figuring out how to exclude plants and fungi. It looks like mapping the area of the coastal plain is too complex, and I'd really like to keep this sorted by county lines -- there's no easy way to do that, so it has to be manual. I ask project members again to check the county list in the project description and make sure that observations you add are in one of the correct counties for this project.

This reminded me I should add the observations I've taken in my local neighborhood. I'm in Hanover. When I tried to batch add animal observations, I got the error message "None of those observations could be added to the project "Coastal Plain Region Virginia Suburban Wildlife": Didn't pass rule: must be on list"

Hmm... I'm not sure why. I was messing around with the setting, but it should now allow any animal observations with location tags that are in Virginia. The list is just anything in Animalia. Are you sure a non-animal didn't sneak in?

Well, I successfully added (and then removed) to the Piedmont group by mistake. But I still can't upload to this group - they all say they fail bc "must be on list", even ones that also say "already uploaded to group". Definitely filtered to remove plants & fungi & so forth.

Okay, trouble-shooting. I've removed the list and 'must be on list' rule, let's see if that's the problem.

Added a big batch with no trouble, this time. (Happy to refine if they aren't what you're looking for.) Thanks, and best luck!

The only criteria are that they be animals, in the correct region and in a suburban environment and not a park or wilderness area. :)
