Using the Colorado Mycoflora Project on iNat

First off, thank you very much for participating.

We're working hard to make iNaturalist a simple and easy tool for anyone to contribute to the Colorado Mycoflora Project. Our primary goal is to study and describe the diversity of macrofungi in the Southern Rockies through fungal specimens and their DNA. For this we will need to make collections from all across the state and deposit them in sanctioned collections, the primary one for this project being the Sam Mitchel Herbarium of Fungi at Denver Botanic Gardens.

To do this right, we will need iNaturalist observations AND the physical specimens from those observations from all over the state. This is where you come in.

At the moment, please start learning the ins and outs of using iNaturalist and contributing to the project. Soon we'll be providing instructions on how you can also submit the specimens in your observations. Currently, we are developing our online presence, infrastructure, and figuring out ...more ↓
