This project is designed to display the diversity of species that exist at the microscopic level within a single locality. Cronemiller Lake is a recent, manmade lake and represents an system that may prove dynamic as sampling continues throughout the years. Already observations from this locality have represented the first observations of genera for North America on INaturalist. In many ways microscopic observations in general hold a great potential to reveal the range and diversity that previous methods of documentation of microscopic organisms have indicated. Regular collecting/documentation will also reveal seasonal trends in microbial communities. less ↑
