Our next program will be at 7 pm on Monday, January 25. TPWD Wildlife Biologist Matthew Symmank will provide a presentation on the Water Reclamation Project at Richland-Chambers Reservoir.

Our Program presenter, Matt Symmank, grew up in Garland, Texas and attended South Garland High School. After graduation he attended Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches where he earned a BS in Forestry specializing in wildlife management and an MS degree in wildlife management. During college, Matt also attended the University of Canterbury in Christchurch New Zealand for 1 year. His first job was as an environmental consultant working with the oil and gas industry and wetland mitigation banks. Matt has been a wildlife biologist for Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for 9 years and has earned his Wildlife Biologist Certification. For his work, Matt manages the 14,000 acre Richland Creek Wildlife Management Area for high quality wildlife habitat, public use and research. His interest is in all things wetland and waterfowl related.
